KATHMANDU: The NEPSE index, which measures share turnover, rose by double digits on Wednesday. The NEPSE index has risen by 18.76 points to reach 2,441.76 points today.
Despite the rise in the NEPSE index, the Sensitive Index, which measures Class A transactions, has declined. The Sensitive Index rose 0.86 points to 446.38. The transaction amount reached just over Rs 8 billion. A total of 15,289,259 lots of 208 companies have been bought and sold from 59,151 transactions during the day. Out of which, the transaction amount has reached Rs. 8.62 billion.
Nepal Life Insurance topped the list in terms of number of transactions on Wednesday. Investors of Nepal Life are also seen earning a lot. The share price of Nepal Life has risen by 9.99 percent and reached Rs 2,411. The share price of Nepal Life was adjusted only this morning.
Nepal Life has called a Annual General Meeting on the 28th. A book-closing date was set for Wednesday for the purpose of AGM. Nepal Life has adjusted the price based on Tuesday’s price after the 31 percent bonus share announced by Nepal Life.
