Kathmandu, July 21: Leaders of various political parties and the lawmakers have commented that the formation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli-led government has spread the message of hope and enthusiasm among the people.
Responding to the queries of media persons after PM Oli secured vote of confidence in the House of Representatives meeting on Sunday, they expressed their confidence that the incumbent government would succeed in maintaining nationality and fiscal discipline and promoting good-governance.
PM Oli, who was appointed as the 45th Prime Minister of the country on July 12, secured two-thirds of vote in the trust motion in the Sunday’s meeting.
Ruling party CPN UML’s leader Yogesh Kumar Bhattarai viewed that the incumbent government had a historic task and responsibility to give positive direction to national economy, creating an enabling environment for investment and creating jobs. He also mentioned, if need be, the incumbent government was entrusted with responsibility to consider an amendment on constitution by reviewing it.
CPN (Unified Socialist) leader Rajendra Prasad Pandey observed that the new government should pay attention to resolving the problems concerning country and citizens. He opined that the government should emphasize good-governance and corruption control.
Similarly, coalition partner Nepali Congress’ Spokesperson and former Minister for Finance Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat remarked that the government formed in participation of fringe parties to eliminate political instability had deep respect and commitment towards democracy.
“The collaboration among the major parties who had led the movements for political change would certainly make a qualitative difference in ensuring political stability, development and prosperity,” he said, assuring that hard work on the part of incumbent government and coordination among the coalition partners could turn people’s hope into trust.
Likewise, leader of the major opposition party, CPN (Maoist Centre), and former Minister Rekha Sharma affirmed that her party would play the role of major opposition and evaluate well the delivery of this government.
“We will no way support regression. We will rather fight it fiercely. We will, however, support constructively in government’s creative endeavors,” she reaffirmed. #nepal #rss #governance
