New record in NEPSE, 3,094 points on Wednesday

KATHMANDU: The NEPSE index, which measures stock trading, has reached an all-time high on Wednesday. NEPSE has set a new history after Wednesday’s transaction.

According to the Nepal Stock Exchange, the NEPSE has gained by 15.30 points to 3,094.94. NEPSE has now set a milestone of nearly 3,100. Similarly, the Sensitive Index, which measures the trading volume of Class A companies, rose 0.02 points to 574.32. A total of 281.70 million shares of 219 companies were bought and sold.

According to NEPSE, out of the total 13 subgroups traded, shares of four subgroups declined while shares of nine subgroups gained. Banking declined by 18.45 points, hydropower by 48.27 points, manufacturing by 37.3 points and collective investment funds by 0.01 points. Trading 16.39, hotel and tourism 257.71, development bank 48.36, finance 70.16, non-life insurance 449.56, others 2,011, microfinance 37.24, life insurance 431.38 and investment 3.22 points gained.

United Modi Hydropower tops the list in terms of transactions. The company had a turnover of Rs. 386.147 million.

Shares of Narayani Development Bank, Multipurpose Finance Company and Chandragiri Hills rose 10 percent, triggering a positive circuit. Similarly, investors in Solti Hotel and Corporate Development Bank gained 8.06 percent and 8.05 percent, respectively. Similarly, investors in Panchakanya Mai Hydropower lost 5.07 per cent, Singti Hydropower 4.98 per cent, Greenlife Hydropower 4.18 per cent, Panchthar Power Company 4.15 per cent and Rasuwagadhi Hydropower 3.95 per cent lost.
