KATHMANDU: Newly appointed Indian Ambassador to Nepal Navin Srivastava has arrived in Kathmandu.
Srivastava, who landed in Kathmandu on Saturday afternoon, is an experienced career diplomat, according to the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu.
Prior to his arrival in Kathmandu, Ambassador Srivastava was the Head of the East Asia Division in charge of China, Japan, South Korea and Mongolia at the Indian Ministry of External Affairs.
Srivastava served as India’s ambassador to Cambodia from 2015 to 2017. He has also held various responsible positions in Washington, Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong.
Ambassador Srivastava will assume formal responsibilities after handing over his credentials to President Bidya Bhandari.
