KATHMANDU: The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC), the state-owned entity, has increased the prices of petrol, diesel/kerosene and aviation fuel with effective from Saturday night.
According to the corporation, petrol, diesel/kerosene and aviation fuel have been increased by Rs 2 per liter. According to the new price list, petrol in Kathmandu will cost Rs. 125 per liter, diesel/kerosene Rs. 108 per liter and aviation fuel Rs. 80 per liter.

Even after the new rate, the corporation will incur a loss of around Rs 590 million in 15 days. The corporation has stated that it will incur a loss of Rs. 380 million from LP Gas and Rs. 180 million from diesel within 15 days.
The corporation has also stated that the loss will be borne by the price stabilization fund and the accumulated profit of the corporation.
