Kathmandu, Aug 1: The government has increased the price of petroleum products, however the LPG gas price has reduced significantly.
Now the price of petrol has reached Rs 170 per liter in Category A, Rs 172 in Category B and Rs 173 in Category C. Similarly, the price of diesel and kerosene has been fixed at Rs 150 in Category A, Rs 152 in Category B and Rs 153 in Category C.
The price of LPG has dropped to Rs 1,660 per cylinder. The price of LP gas has been reduced by Rs 130 per cylinder.
The increased price will be effective from 12 midnight on Monday.
The government has activated the automatic price adjustment in every 15 days. The prices of petroleum products have been fixed in accordance with the latest price available from Indian Oil Corporation. Today itself, the IOC had sent new increased rate as the petro prices in international market rose.
