Kathmandu, Nov 19: In the ongoing Nepal Premier League (NPL) Season 2, Kathmandu Gorkhas and last year’s runners-up Sudurpaschim Royals are facing each other today at 4 pm at the TU International Cricket Stadium, Kirtipur.
Kathmandu will be aiming for their second victory, while Sudurpaschim will look to start the tournament on a positive note. Kathmandu had defeated defending champions Janakpur Bolts in the opening match.
Kathmandu is led by Karan K.C. Players in his squad include Bhim Sharki, Mohammad Aadil Alam, Shahab Alam, Ben Charlesworth, Gerhard Erasmus, Dipesh Kandel, Milind Kumar, Rashid Khan, Uttam Thapa Magar (wicket keeper), Sunny Patel, John Simpson (wicket keeper), Pratik Shrestha, Akash Tripathi, Tul Bahadur Thapa, Ricardo Vasconcelos (wicket keeper), Santosh Yadav, and Sonu Devkota.
Sudurpaschim Royals are captained by Dipendra Singh Airee, who is also the vice-captain of the Nepal national team. Players in his squad include Binod Bhandari (wicket keeper), Avinash Bohara, Deepak Bohara (wicket keeper), Milan Bohara, Josh Brown, Hemant Dhami, Scott Kuggeleijn, Chris Lynn, Ishan Pandey, Tek Rawat (wicket keeper), Naren Saud, Harmit Singh, Arif Sheikh, Dipendra Thapa (wicket keeper), and Himmat Mahara.
