Kathmandu, Nov 4 : Deputy Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, Shivraj Shrestha has been suspended on the charge of abuse of authority.
The NRB board of directors meeting Monday decided to suspend him and investigate into the charges leveled against him.
Meanwhile, the NRB has formed a three-member committee under the convenorship of Board member Shree Ram Poudel. The committee comprises Subodh Karna and Ram Ji Shrestha as other two members.
According to NRB Act 2058, clause 22, the governor, deputy governor and members of the board are automatically suspended with the initiation of investigation against them.
