NRNs organise spiritual festival in Spain



Portugal, April 14: The Spain Spiritual Festival held in Barcelona of Spain has successfully concluded.

More than 50 million rupees has been raised from the festival organised by the Non-Resident Nepali Association, Spain. The fund raising was held with an objective of constructing Nepal Ghar and a temple.

NRNA Spain President Santosh Shrestha told Rastriya Samachar Samiti that 307,000 euro or 53 million rupees was collected from the five-day festival.

Out 307,000 euro, 103,000 euro in cash was collected while the donors have expressed commitment to donate the remaining amount, he added.

Nepali entrepreneur in Spain, Bal Krishna Tiwari, donated the highest 15,555 euro and another Nepali entrepreneur Bir Bahadur Sarki Rs 7,777 euro in the festival. The organizer had set a target of collecting 200,000 euro.

“The festival has boosted positive energy, spiritual peace and awareness as well as helped conserve and promote Nepali language, art and culture in foreign land,” mentioned Shrestha.

The festival was organised with an aim to construct multi-purpose common centre and temple for social, cultural and religious activities of Nepali community in Spain.

Festival Coordinator Shrestha thanked the Nepali Community in Spain as well as other organisations active in Spain for their support to conclude the festival in a grand manner.#nepal #rss
