Kathmandu, April 30: The National Statistics Office has released an estimate that Nepal will achieve an economic growth rate of 3.54 percent in the current fiscal year 2080-81 BS. The statistics office has announced that the government has set a target of achieving economic growth of about 6% through the current year’s budget, but the growth rate will be only half of the target.
Today, the Statistics Office released the annual national accounting statistics for the fiscal year 2080/81 BS. “In the current year 2080-81, the economic growth rate is estimated to be 3.54% in the basic price and 3.87% in the consumer price,” the statement issued by the office said. “In the current year 2080/81, the size of the country’s economy based on the consumer price is Rs. 574 Arba. Similarly, in the last fiscal year 2079/80 BS, the size of Nepal’s economy was equal to Rs. 5348 Arba, according to the statistics office.
The statistics office has estimated that the growth rate of the agricultural sector in the current year will be 3.05% and the growth of the non-agricultural sector will be 3.75%. Similarly, the primary sector is 3%, the secondary sector is 1.2% and the service sector is 4.5%.
Per capita income
In the current year, the gross domestic product per capita is estimated to be USD 1,434, while the gross national income per capita is estimated to be USD 1,445. Looking at the growth rate of value addition of various sectors in the current year, it is estimated that the growth rate of 5.52% for health and social work, 2.71% for education, 4.49% for public administration and defense, 4.04% for administrative and support services, and 4.15% for professional scientific and technical activities. .
Similarly, an increase of 2.98% in real estate business, 7.80% in financial and insurance sector, 4.91% in information and communication, 81.84% in housing and dining services and 11.89% in transportation and storage services are estimated.
