Doti: Traffic along the Bhimdatta highway obstructed since Friday evening due to snowfall has resumed. The highway links seven hilly districts of the Sudurpaschim (Farwest) State. The highway has resumed after 12 hours.

Vehicular movement on the highway connecting Dadeldhura, Baitadi, Bajhang, Darchula, Achham, Bajura and Doti was completely halted due to heavy snowfall in the high hilly and mountainous districts since Friday. Hundreds of passengers heading to various destinations in those districts were stranded due to this.

Traffic has been opened on the highway after the snow accumulated on the road was removed this morning by using a dozer of the Road Division Office and the personnel of the Nepali Army, the Armed Police Force and Nepal Police, said Superintendent of Police Dilip Singh Deuba, Chief of the District Police Office Doti.

Meanwhile, the ADSL and landline telephone service of Nepal Telecom has been disrupted in the hill districts of the Farwest province including in Doti due to the heavy snowfall.
