Palpa, Jan 14: One person was killed in a road accident that occurred near the Bishwakarma Temple in Jorte, Ribdikot Rural Municipality–2, Palpa district, early this morning.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Hom Prakash Chaudhary of the District Police Office, Palpa, the accident took place at around 4:00 am when a tipper truck (Na 8 Kha 365) carrying cement from Nawalparasi to Gulmi veered off the road and plunged approximately 250 metres down a slope.
The deceased has been identified as 35-year-old Keshav Sunar. Police have not yet confirmed whether he was the driver of the vehicle or another occupant. It is also unclear whether there were additional people in the vehicle at the time of the accident.
