Chitwan, Dec 7: ‘Dreamy Eyes’, a collection of English short stories, by journalist and writer Basanta Parajuli, has been launched.
LB Chhetri, chairperson of the Kabidanda Sahitya Samaj, Chitwan; Dr Keshab Raj Chalise, chairperson of the Village of English Writers (View), Chitwan; Batuk Lal Tamang, chairperson of the Nepal English Language Teachers’ Association (NELTA); managing director of the Bhundipuran Publication, Keshab Parajuli and litterateur Hari Gautam jointly launched the book amid a function organised here on Wednesday by the NELTA, Chitwan.
Translated into English by Mili Joshi and Bharat Bhattarai, the book has 17 stories. Parajuli’s collections of stories, ‘Kumata’ and ‘Momcho’, have been already published. On the occasion, a workshop was organised wherein various participants reviewed the book. The total 25 participants read the book and critiqued it.
Participants including Manoj Kumar Bista, Manoj Chhetri, Anjali Bhusal and Arjun Bhatta made the review of the book. Writer Parajuli has been active in journalism since over two decades.
