Passenger bus falls in Trishuli river, Six dead, more than 30 injured



Dhading, March 6: Six people have succumed to death after a passenger bus number Lu 2 Ka 2121 coming from Kapilvastu to Kathmandu met with an accident at Gajuri rural municipality-5, Ghatbensi of Dhading.

According to local police, six people including a woman died on the spot in the accident that happened this morning at around 4.41 am. Senior police offical at Dhading Mr Gautam KC informed that the bus fell into the Trishuli river about 100 meters below the Prithvi Highway.

He said that more than 30 people were injured in the accident. Rescue team has so far rescued 38 people.

Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, Nepal Army and locals are rescuing at the scene. The team of Armed Police Force, Disaster Management Training School Kurintar Chitwan has also arrived at the scene.

Bus driver Hariram Harijan has been detained by the police. The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.
