Passenger jeep fell in Sunkoshi river, three missing



Kathmandu, Aug 24: A private jeep (Isuzu Hilax) fell into the Sunkoshi river from the road at Kudule, Golanjor rural municipality-1 of Sindhuli district.

One of the injured occupants of the jeep was rescued and sent to a hospital in Khurkot for treatment. Other three people have gone missing, police said.

According to police, Abin Bake (32, driver), a resident of Suryabinayak, Bhaktapur, Pranit Syagu (30) and Balaram Ghatuwa (37) of the same place have gone missing.

Local police said that the search for the jeep that fell into the river and the rest of the passengers is continuing.

The car, which was coming from Halesi in Khotang towards Kathmandu, fell into the river at around 5:30 pm today. More details of the incident are yet to come.
