Pathivara cable car within 15 months

Taplejung, Nov 9: The foundation stone for the construction of a cable car to reach the famous religious pilgrimage site, Pathivara Temple in Taplejung, has been laid.

Constituent Assembly member Dambar Dhwaj Tumbahamphe and Fungling Municipality Mayor Amir Maden jointly inaugurated the cable car project with a religious ceremony at Kaflepati, the starting point of the cable car.

Indra Kedem, head of the construction company Himalaya Construction, mentioned that the foundation-laying ceremony took place in the presence of local representatives, political party members, and residents, with chants in honor of the goddess Pathivara.

Kedem expressed optimism that the project would now move at a rapid pace, emphasizing that the cable car is not just a project of a single company but an initiative closely tied to the economic, social, and cultural development of Taplejung district and the prosperity of the Koshi Province as a whole.

Mayor Maden noted the potential of the cable car to be a cornerstone for the economic development of Taplejung and called on all parties to support its swift advancement.

Cable car company board member Rudra Poudel shared that trees in the project area were removed earlier and that the formal foundation-laying ceremony had been completed on Friday. He further mentioned that the cable car would be operational within the next 15 months.

According to Poudel, the project is expected to promote tourism, create employment opportunities, maintain environmental balance, and contribute to economic and social development in the area. #cablecar #nepal #pathivara #temple
