Pilgrims to Madhyamiki Parikrama reaching Phulahar today

Mahottari, March 1: The travelers to the Mithila Madhyamiki Parikrama, circumambulation of Mithila region, are reaching Phulahar of Madhuwani district in India, today, the third day of the pilgrimage.

The pilgrims in a two-week-long circumambulation of the holy site reach Hanumangadhi of Dhanusa district for taking a rest on the first day, while Madhuwani of India on the second day.

The pilgrimage is also regarded as the mahakumbha, a grand religious fair. The people in Matihani here welcome the holy travelers with feasts and provide lodging.

In addition to foods and shelter, the Matihani people arrange security and health treatments to the pilgrims. Four places are allocated for such charity, and preparations are in final stage to welcome the guests.

Matihani, Jaleshwor, Madai, Dhrubakund and Kanchanban are the places for the pilgrims to take rest during night.

The Madhyamiki stretching in 133-km covers Nepal’s Mahottari and Dhanusha districts and some parts of Madhuwani district of India. It is believed that the pilgrimage was begun to trail the footsteps of God Ram and Goddess Sita of the Treta Yuga.

The Broader Janakpur Area Development Trust and other benevolent people have been donating for the management of the holy travelers.#nepal # rss
