Kathmandu, Nov 11: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said the Nepal Sambat would be written in government’s documents as it is the National Sambat.
Addressing the Fifth Memorial Day of leader Padma Ratna Tuladhar here on Saturday, Prime Minister Dahal mentioned, “I had given recognition to the Nepal Sambat as the National Sambat from cabinet during my first premiership.”
He also recalled Tuladhar saying that Nepal Sambat itself was the National Sambat.
PM Dahal shared, “The announcement was made sitting with Tuladhar. Now, Nepal Sambat 1144 is coming. Some representatives visited me and asked to introduce Nepal Sambat as the National Sambat in practice and include in government’s documents.”
Sharing that the democracy and republic obtained from a long struggle and sacrifices are being criticized, the PM laid emphasis that all should contribute from their respective areas to protect the achievements including the federal democratic republic, secularism and proportional system.
