Kathmandu, May 27: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ is leaving for an official visit to India on 31 May at the cordial invitation of Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. The PM will be accompanied by his daughter Ganga Dahal.
The entourage of the PM comprises ministers, secretaries, and senior officials of the government, according to Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the visit, PM Dahal is scheduled to pay a courtesy call on President of India, Droupadi Murmu, and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar.
Similarly, the PM will hold delegation-level talks with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi at Hyderabad House on 1 June. The talks will be followed by a joint press meet by the two Prime Ministers. The Indian PM will host a luncheon in honour of the Nepali PM and his delegation.
PM Dahal will address Nepal-India Business Summit in New Delhi organized jointly by the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and interact with business leaders of both countries. He is also scheduled to interact with the Nepali community in India over a welcome reception to be hosted by Nepali Ambassador to India, Shankar Prasad Sharma.
During the visit, PM Dahal will visit Ujjain and Indore, Madhya Pradesh before returning to Kathmandu on 3 June 2023.
This is the fourth visit of PM Dahal to India as the PM. The visit is expected to further strengthen the age-old, multifaceted, and cordial relations between Nepal and India, the Foreign Ministry stated in a press release on Saturday. (RSS)
