KATHMANDU: A meeting of the Council of Ministers has decided to form a delegation to attend the ‘world leaders’ summit’ on climate change to be held at Glasgow of the United Kingdom (UK) under the leadership of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.
The 26th Conference of Party (COP-26) on climate change is taking place at Glasgow from October 31 to November 12.
The cabinet meeting today decided to provide incentive of Rs 500,000 in cash each to the players and Rs 300,000 to the coach of Nepali football team that came second in the SAFF Championship football tournament held in the Maldives recently, shared Minister for Communications and Information Technology and government spokesperson Gyanendra Bahadur Karki.
Likewise, the meeting decided to grant public holiday to the Muslim community on the occasion of Mohammed Jayanti (1496) on October 19 and endorse the Financial Work Procedure and Fiscal Responsibility (First Regulation), 2078.
The cabinet decided to send the Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security to participate in the sixth ministerial-level consultative meeting of Abu Dhabi Dialogue and also decided to appoint several gazetted first class officers of various positions as per the recommendation of the Public Service Commission.
The meeting decided to allow the creation of temporary positions in different ministries, shared Minister Karki at a press conference organized to make the cabinet decisions public.
