PM extends gratitude to political parties for solidarity in time of mourning



Kathmandu, Oct 9: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ expressed his gratitude to all political parties and civil society for their solidarity with the government at the time of national mourning.

The Dahal extended his gratitude to the leaders of political parties and civil society by organizing an all-party meeting at Singha Durbar in Kathmandu on Monday. Stating that the government has made all necessary preparations to rescue Nepalis stranded in various places in Israel due to the terrorist attacks there, PM Dahal also shared that some Nepali students are trapped in a bunker in a war-torn Israel.

The Head of the Government also informed that the Council of Ministers decided to repatriate Nepalis who wish to return home in the chartered flights of Nepal Airlines Corporation and Himalayan Airlines, said PM’s press expert according to Manohari Timilsina.

The PM also mentioned that the government has already started initiatives to bring the dead bodies of the Nepali citizens killed in Israel, coordinating with the government of Israel, Timilsina added.

“The Prime Minister urged one and all to provide truthful information as soon as possible acknowledging it as a national responsibility,” Timilsina said. “In this hour of national crisis, there was a national consensus, there was a single voice and the PM expressed his gratitude,” he shared.

Present in the meeting summoned by PM Dahal were Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Narayankaji Shrestha, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defense Purna Bahadur Khadka, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, CPN (UML) senior Vice-Chairperson Ishwar Pokharel, Lokatantrik Samajwadi Party Chairperson Mahantha Thakur, Rastriya Swatantra Party President Rabi Lamichhane, Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chairperson Rajendra Lingden and all the leaders from all political parties representing in the parliament.

In the meeting, Minister for Foreign Affairs NP Saud appraised the meeting about the works done by the government to rescue and repatriate Nepalis from Israel.

PM Dahal expresses grief over death of Nepali youths in Israel

Prime Minister Pushapa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said he was saddened from the death of Nepali youths in the terrorist attacks happened in Israel.

Taking to the social networking sites, Prime Minister Dahal extended heartfelt tribute to those killed in the attacks and expressed condolences to the bereaved families.

An emergency cabinet meeting held on Monday has declared the national mourning for Tuesday to express its tribute to those Nepalis killed in Israel. The Prime Minister mentioned that the government has already started initiatives to bring the dead bodies of the Nepali citizens killed in Israel by coordinating with the government of Israel.

He appealed to all sisters and brothers to have patience in this hour of grief.
