PM Oli holds Cabinet meeting through teleconference

Kathmandu, Aug 27: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is in Singapore for follow-up health checkup, on Monday held a Cabinet meeting under his chairpersonship through the telepresence videoconferencing system. This is the first ever practice for Nepal.

Earlier, a Cabinet meeting amended cabinet working procedure allowing PM to conduct the meeting through video conference.

On the occasion, Prime Minister Oli issued necessary directions through videoconference after being briefed on the meeting agenda by acting Prime Minister Ishwor Pokharel. Pokharel was assigned to look after the responsibility of daily administrative work of the Prime Minister, in the latter’s absence.

Likewise, the Prime Minister took to Twitter thanking all who helped him hold the meeting with the help of technology. Prime Minister Oli left for Singapore on August 22 for a follow-up health checkup.
