Dhangadhi: Kailali police today made public seven persons allegedly involved in the murder of Assistant Sub Inspector Govinda BK and police personnel Ram Bahadur Saud while on duty in border area.
Kailali district police office held a press meet to reveal the seven culprits.
Those arrested on the charge of murdering the police officials on duty are Rohit Ran, Suresh Rana, Rajendra Rana, Raj Kumar Rana, Dalram Rana, Ram Niwas Rana of Dhangadhi Sub Metropolitan City-10 and Ram Gopal Rana of Ward no. 11.
Pratik Bista, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) at the district police office, said that the illegal traders were involved in killing the police officials.
He said the policemen were killed with the use of sharp weapons and their bodies were thrown into the Mohana river.
Both of the police officials were deputed at temporary police check post at Jugeda in Dhangadhi submetropolis-12.
