KATHMANDU: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ on Sunday furnished a written response on a case on contempt of court filed against him.
Dahal appeared before the Supreme Court (SC) with his response on the contempt of court case filed by advocate Samir Hayu.
Hayu had filed a contempt petition against Prachanda over latter’s political remarks on the case that was under sub-judice at the SC.
A single bench of Justice Dr Manoj Kumar Sharma had issued an order to Prachanda to appear before the SC within a week and furnish his reply on the contempt of court case.
On his reply, Chairman Dahal stated that he has never influenced the Court in any of the cases that are under sub-judice. He has also urged the SC to scrap the writ petition.
