President Bhandari administer oath of office and secrecy to province chiefs

KATHMANDU: The newly appointed province chiefs have been administered the oath of office and secrecy before President Bidya Devi Bhandari.

Chief Minister of Province-1, Parshuram Khapung; of Karnali Province, Tilak Pariyar; and of Sudurpaschim Province, Devraj Joshi, took the oath of the office and secrecy in accordance with Article 167 of the Constitution of Nepal. The swearing-in ceremony was held at President’s Office on Thursday.

Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana were present on the occasion.

The Meeting of the Council of Ministers had decided to appoint Khapung, Pariyar and Joshi as provice chiefs.
