Reykjavik (Iceland): President Bidya Devi Bhandari has arrived in Iceland’s capital Reykjavík today as part of a Two-day official visit to the People’s Republic of Iceland. She had left Kathmandu on Monday evening.
President Bhandari was welcomed at Reykjavík International Airport by dignitaries from Iceland.
President Bhandari has come to Iceland to participate in the ‘Women Political Leaders (WPL)’ Global Network of women politicians. President Bhandari will also accept the ‘Women Political Trailblazer Award‘.
Her daughter Ushakiran Bhandari, Foreign Ministry Secretary Bharatraj Paudyal and others are in the President’s visiting party. President Bhandari is scheduled to return home on October 26 after completing his visit.
