Chitwan, March 30: President Ram Chandra Paudel underscored unity among all Nepalis to fulfill the national aspiration of development.
Inaugurating a motorable bridge over the Trishuli River linking Tanahu and Chitwan district here today, President Paudel argued that pace of development following the attainment of democracy had kindled a hope among us.
President Paudel reminded that such projects have been come to fruition with the active role of local people those in the higher-up should also pay heed to local initiatives.
Stating that agricultural revolution, expansion of tourism and development of energy power were the main basis for the country’s prosperity, he argued that good-governance was first requirement for it. “I am standing on the same agenda since sworn in as the President. I vowed that I will not involve myself in politics and will not run away from development. That means development of the country is my aspiration and focus.”
The Head of the State further asserted that development of economic activities including production, employment, industry and export-oriented economy were the demand of time. He believed that the newly inaugurated bridge would be milestone for the development of this region as, he added, he had envisaged that bridge could be pivotal in developing this region.
He also saw possibility of the bridge becoming a link between the Shaligram Pathway and Kaligandaki corridor which links south to north.
Paudel expressed his happiness for being able to interact with the locals from Devghat, a confluence of Chitwan, Nawalparashi and Tanahu districts. He spoke of the need to publicize Devghat as a religious site and developing it as a national pride project.RSS #nepal
