President, Prime Minister extends New Year greetings

Kathmandu, April 12:  President Ramchandra Paudel has advised all Nepali citizens to focus on building a self-sufficient economy through the promotion of entrepreneurship and the formation of national capital.

In his message of best wishes given on the occasion of the New Year 2081 BS, the Head of the State urged one and all to gear up for the nation-building campaign and accelerate the pending projects.

“Our efforts should be for achieving a sufficient and sustainable economy through the development of national capital by promoting domestic production and development of entrepreneurship,” he said.Extending the New Year’s greetings to all Nepalis living in the country and abroad, he pressed an idea for encouraging the youth workforce to engage in nation-building through the creation of jobs and opportunities within the country.

“I, hereby, urge the federal, province and local governments and all the stakeholders concerned to implement policies prioritising the promotion of education, health, agriculture, and environment protection which are directly connected to the people’s life and advance towards accomplishment of the sustainable development goals,” the President further adds.

He wished the New Year inspired all of us to promote social justice and the building of a prosperous and civilized society, keeping the earth safe and clean. “I wish the Nepalis faced no natural disasters such as earthquakes, landslides and floods in the year to come,” the Head of the State said in the message.

New Year comes with responsibility to create base for developing nation: PM Dahal

Prime Minister Pushpa Kumal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said major responsibility of the government in 2081 BS is to create a strong base of developing nation through economic reform.

Giving a New Year- 2081BS-message today, PM Dahal said culture of cooperation and consensus for stability, smooth public service delivery with technological adoption are equal priorities of the New Year. He believed government’s efforts to these ends would create new hope and bring happiness.

The PM further reminded that ultimate goal of all Nepalis is to bring prosperity and elevate nation’s image. “I extend best wishes to all Nepalis that New Year 2081BS would set a historical standard for achievement and prosperity by promoting unity, mutual help, intimacy and harmonious feeling,” PM Dahal stated in the message.

He also recollected the initiatives made for enforcement of federalism, good governance, recovery of economy, direct address to people’s problems and improvement in international relations and diplomacy as some of the significant achievements of 2080BS.

PM Dahal wished peace, prosperity, happiness and good health to all Nepalis living in the country and abroad on this occasion.

Meanwhile, Vice President Ramsahaya Prasad Yadav has called for provincial strengthening for effective enforcement of federalism in line with constitution.

Extending best wishes on the occasion of the New Year 2081 BS today, Vice President Yadav expressed his belief that all Nepalis would contribute to the institutionalization of the federal system in the country. He wished good health, happiness and progress to all Nepalis living in the country and abroad on the occasion of the New Year. Unity among all people is imperative to strengthen social harmony and foster national unity in the country.

The Vice President reminded that the New Year is also the occasion seeking further commitment and determination to bolster democratic governance, civil liberties, and fundamental and human rights.
