Kathmandu: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda and CPN UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli had a meeting in Balkot, residence of Chairman Oli today morning.
Prime Minister Prachanda reached Balkot for the second time after taking the vote of confidence from the House of Representatives.
It is said that two leaders have intense discussion on Cabinet expansion, election of the President and the House Speaker. The CPN UML is vying for the post of President and House Speaker.
However, the main opposition Nepali Congress is also trying to convince Prime Minister Dahal, including CPN UML for the post of either President or Speaker. Prime Minister Dahal has already informed that he will be holding an all-party meeting to forge consensus on these two key posts.
Nepali Congress, CPN (Unified Socialist) and other fringe parties have voted in favour of Prime Minister Dahal but rejected to participate in the government. According to sources, PM Dahal will be inviting Nepali Congress, CPN (US) into the all party meeting.
The CPN UML was suspicious on this move of the Prime Minister but remained silent.
