Prime Minister Oli is a fugitive of parliament: Gagan Thapa

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress youth leader Gagan Thapa has remarked that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is not a revolutionary but a fugitive from the parliament.

Addressing a protest rally against the dissolution of the parliament, leader Thapa said, “He was avoiding to face parliamment, and trying to influence the apex court by arguing that he had a majority of 64 percent and no alternative government was possible to form. Is this the only base for dissolution of parliament?”

He said, “The prime minister is not a revolutionary, he is a fugitive from parliament.”

He remarked that a fugitive prime minister have been talking like that he had won a war.

Let’s read the constitution

In a mass gathering at Dhangadhi of Far Western Provice, Prime Minister Oli had urged to read the constitution for those who called the dissolution of the parliament unconstitutional. In response, Thapa challenged him to come and read the constitution in the Khulamanch together.

He said, “Comrade Oli, let’s have an open debate. You come with Subash Nemwang, who is hiding in the field, and we will invite Ram Baran Yadav. Let’s read the constitution in Khulamanch in front of the people.”

He argued that the dissolution of parliament was not only unconstitutional but also an irresponsible move.
