Pokhara, Nov 28: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chair and former Deputy Prime Minister Rabi Lamichhane has been taken to Kathmandu from Pokhara this evening.
He was taken to the capital city in a Buddha Air flight. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Kaski Basanta Sharma said that Lamichhane was taken to Kathmandu to record his statement after the Kathmandu District Court issued an arrest warrant on charge of the embezzlement of funds of Swarnalaxmi financial Cooperatives.
Investigations against Lamichhane are ongoing in Pokhara too on funds embezzlement of Pokhara-based Suryadarshan Savings and Credit Cooperatives Ltd. and organized crime by taking him under police custody since October 18.
Earlier, Lamichhane was brought to Pokhara by taking him to Rupandehi. #rabi #corruption #nepal
