Kathmandu, March 9: The Janata Samajwadi Party, Nepal (JSP) has decided to field Ramsahay Prasad Yadav, the leader of the parliamentary party of JSP, as the Vice Presidential candidate.
This decision was taken by the central executive committee meeting held at the party office on Thursday. Leader Yadav is the elected MP from Bara Constituency No. 2.
In the ruling coalition, it was agreed that JSP would get the Vice President. Senior Congress leader Ram Chandra Poudel has been elected as the President on behalf of the alliance.
The election of the Vice President will be held on March 17, 2023.
According to sources, JSP Chairman Upendra Yadav will contest election from Bara. He lost election in Saptari in the recently concluded general election.
