Reshamlal Chaudhary elected chair of Nagarik Unmukti Party



Tikapur, Jan 12: The first General Convention of Nagarik Unmukti Party has unanimously elected Resham Lal Chaudhary as the party Chair. Prior to this, Chaudhary served as the party patron.

The General Convention held in Tikapur of Kailali picked him as the party Chair unopposed. Prior to this, the post was held by Ranjita Shrestha, the Minister for Land Management and Cooperatives, who is also the spouse of Chaudhary.

Similarly, Damodar Pandit has been elected the senior Vice Chair of the party. The event underway since January 11 is being attended by 8,000 representatives across the country.

It is said efforts are on to elect other office bearers of the party in consensus. A total of 254 people, including 33 office bearers, will be elected from the General Convention for the party’s 501-member central committee.

According to central member, Lal Bir Chaudhary, the event will run through January 13. RSS
