Kathmandu, March 27: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has decided to field candidates in all the three constituencies where the by-elections will be held on April 23, 2023. Spokesperson Mohan Shrestha informed that the RPP Office Bearer meeting held at the party head office Dhumbarahi on Monday decided to pick candidates for Tanahun-1, Bara-2 and Chitwan-2.
According to Shrestha, the meeting has also appointed the commander of the party in those constituencies. Leader Bikram Pandey in Chitwan-2, Neelkanth Kafle in Tanahun-1 and Buddhiman Tamang in Bara-2 have been designated as commanders. It is said that the commanders will decide on the candidates after necessary discussions in the designated constituencies.
The time for nomination registration for the by-election has been fixed on April 3, 2023. Likewise, party’s organizational and various matters including the preparation of the party’s central committee meeting were also discussed today.
