Rs 100,000 received for Tribhuvan Poudel Memorial Fund



Pokhara, Nov 28: The Tribhuvan Poudel Memorial Revolving Fund received Rs 100,000 on Monday.

Sushila Rai and Ramchandra Rai, who are residing in Japan, provided the amount for the revolving fund established in memory of Pokhara’s journalist Tribhuvan Poudel, who died in a Yeti Air plane crash in January 15, 2023. Sushila is a former journalist.

The Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) Gandaki Province Committee, Nepal, had established the Fund worth Rs 1 million in memory of the Committee’s founding chairman Poudel.

The amount was handed over to Committee’s General Secretary Govinda Subedi amid a function in Pokhara.

On the occasion, Chair of FNJ Kaski Bimala Bhandari said that support from all was needed to translate Poudel’s dreams into reality adding that the media fraternity is still stunned from the demise of working journalist Poudel.

General Secretary Subedi said that so far Rs 400,000 has been received for the Fund from different sources including journalists, organizations and individuals.
