Rs 30 million appropriated for Terai-Madhesh prosperity



Surunga, Sept 23 : The federal government has appropriated a budget of Rs 22.5 million to execute housing programme and beyond with focus on disadvantaged families in Birtamod and Arjundhara municipalities.

Pabitra Niraula Kahrel, federal parliamentarian, shared the federal government earmarked budget Rs 22.5 million for executing housing programme along with other social works.

Houses would be built for the disadvantaged community people by maintaining coordination with Birtamod and Arjundhara municipalities under the Terai-Madesh Prosperity Programme. Remaining amount would be spent for constructing community building in Buddhashanti rural municipality and completing the construction of community building of Coach Rajbamshi in Kankai municipality.

Budget Rs 7.5 million has been allocated for backward community and disadvantaged families of ward 7,8 and 9 of Birtamod municipality while the earmarked amount Rs 6 million for the arrangement of housing for deprived people in Arjundhara-3.

An agreement was made for Arjundhara municipality to allocate Rs 1.5 million to execute the disadvantaged housing programme and for Birtamod municipality to provide Rs 900,000 for the same.
