RSP approves unification deal with Mayor Balen Shah

Kathmandu, Dec 29: The central committee meeting of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has approved the unification agreement between the RSP and Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Shah.

The decision was made during a central committee meeting held late last night, RSP General Secretary Kabindra Burlakoti said. The meeting endorsed the agreement reached between the party and Mayor Shah.

The committee also resolved to work jointly for good governance, prosperity, democracy, and social justice through the implementation of the agreement, which the party described as a reflection of courage, sacrifice, and hope in the national interest.

Earlier, in the early hours of Sunday, the RSP and Mayor Shah signed a seven-point agreement addressing various political and governance-related issues ahead of the House of Representatives elections scheduled for March 5.

The agreement was signed by RSP President Rabi Lamichhane and Mayor Shah. As per the agreement, the youth-led movement against corruption and misgovernance will be formally embraced, and the concerns of the injured and families of those martyred during the movement will be addressed appropriately. #nepal #rsp #balen
