Kaski, June 12: General Secretary of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Kabindra Burlakoti, reminded that time has come for RSP leaders and cadres to be disciplined, accountable and restraint.
General secretary Burlakoti said it while inaugurating the first convention of Gandaki Province chapter of the party in Pokhara city on Friday.
“RSP has been mandated to build nation in a short time of four years since its formation, so party rank and file needs to be further disciplined,” he stated. According to him, conventions are the moments to whet party policy and leadership.
“We’re snowed under with preparation for general convention. We are devoted to party building, so we must nurture and hone ourselves,” general secretary Burlakoti underlined. Burlakoti further argued once the party line becomes disciplined, other factors would not weaken it.
He made it clear that party was not established to create posts for any individual. “Party is brought to this stage with contribution from all sides. We’re affiliated to party not for individual political future but for nation,” Burlakoti explained.
The general secretary asked the leaders and cadres to carry out responsibilities effectively. RSP’s deputy parliamentary party leader Ganesh Parajuli made it clear that there were no problems with party and government. Party president Rabi Lamichhane was handling organization, while senior leader and Prime Minister Balendra Shah the state affairs.
It was the allocation of responsibilities among them, he informed. Also speaking on the occasion were HoR member Sagar Dhakal and leader Raj Gautam.
