Kathmandu, April 2: The Parliamentary Party meeting of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), held at Singha Durbar, has decided to nominate DP Aryal for the post of Speaker of the House of Representatives.
The proposal was presented by party president Rabi Lamichhane during the meeting. Mr DP Aryal is also the Senior Vice President of the party.
According to the party secretariat, the proposal put forward by Chair Lamichhane was unanimously endorsed by the parliamentary party. The RSP has won nearly two-third majority seats (182 seats in the 275 seats House) in the lower House from the March 5, 2026 general election.
The House Secretariat has scheduled the election of the Speaker on coming Monday. #nepal #Speaker
