Chitwan: Chairman of CPN (Maoist Center) and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has voted from Chitwan district.
Prachanda voted from the polling booth at Nepal Police School Shantipur located in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-14 at 7:15 am.
Talking in brief to media persons on the occasion, he claimed that the alliance will win the election. After casting his vote, Prachanda has left for Gorkha where he is contesting for a seat to the House of Representatives.
He said, “There is a nationwide wave in favor of the alliance and I believe that the coalition will win a majority with ease”.
Prachanda also assured that the current coalition will not break over the issue of the leadership of the government that will be formed after the election. Stating that the election will start a new process of development and prosperity in the country, he claimed that prosperity in the country will be possible only with the leadership of the party that is the bearer of change for good governance and prosperity.
Prachanda also expressed his commitment to always focus on the development of Chitwan.

Minister of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Pampha Bhusal has voted from Rajtirtha polling booth located in Lalitpur Metropolitan City-2. A leader of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Bhusal is a candidate for Lalitpur constituency No. 3 representing the Left-Democratic Alliance.
NA Chair Timilsina votes in Parbat
National Assembly Chairperson Ganesh Prasad Timilsina has cast his vote from Pashupati Secondary School ‘A’ polling booth located at Ramja in Ward No. 7 of Modi Rural Municipality. Speaking to media after the vote, he urged all the voters to exercise their right to vote with confidence in the election being held to elect new people’s representatives. Earlier, Chief Returning Officer Anand Prasad Shrestha started the voting process throughout the district by casting the first vote in Parbat. He voted for the proportional representation (PR) system at the temporary polling booth in Kushma.
Speaker Sapkota votes
Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota has cast his vote from Setidevi Panchakanya Secondary School polling booth in Chautara Sangachokgadhi municipality of Sindhupalchok. According to his press expert Sridhar Neupane, Speaker Sapkota reached Sindhupalchok on Saturday for the voting.
