Gorkha, March 13: The death toll from a microbus accident in Sahid Lakhan Rural Municipality–3, Kantaar of Gorkha District has risen to seven, police said.
The electric microbus (Ba Pra 01–006 Kha 8430) was returning after pilgrims visited the Manakamana Temple when it met with the accident at around 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
According to Chief of the District Police Office Gorkha, Superintendent of Police Bharat Bahadur BK, the victims include five men and two women. He said seven of the 15 passengers on board died at the scene, while eight others were injured.
All injured passengers were rescued and taken to Aabukhaireni Hospital in Tanahun District for treatment.
Ward Chairperson of Ward No. 3, Dipak Pandey, said the microbus fell around 200 meters down the road after the accident. Rescue and investigation efforts are ongoing. #nepal #accident
