Share market growth did not last, NEPSE fell by 51 points

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), which had increased by 80 points on the previous day, has declined by around 51.65 points on Wednesday. Along with this decline, the overall NEPSE has remained to 2,862.18 points.

The market, which had declined by 200 points in the previous five trading days, had improved by about 80 points on Tuesday. However, the increase did not last until Wednesday.

The NEPSE came under pressure after the indices of all sub-groups traded on Wednesday declined. That is the reason for the decline in NEPSE. Along with the indicator, the transaction amount has also declined sharply.

Compared to the previous day, the NEPSE index, transaction amount and number of traded shares have decreased on Wednesday. A total of 161.17 million shares of 216 companies were traded through 73,300 transactions on the day. Only shares worth Rs 6.65 billion have been traded.
