Share Market: Hydropower companies loses most, Index fell by 45 points

KATHMANDU: The share prices of hydropower companies, which rose sharply on Sunday, fell on Monday again.

The NEPSE index, which measures share turnover, fell by more than 45 points on Monday. Overall, the hydropower group’s sub-index declined by 4.31 percent, or 129.93 points.

This is the most declining group on Monday. After the directive given by the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), the Central Bank of Nepal, for the implementation of the third quarterly review of the monetary policy, the share price of Hydropower was attractive.

The share price of this group, which has been increasing very well till Sunday, has decreased a lot on Monday.

All the hydropower companies are in the top 10 of the companies that lost the most on Monday. However, Radhi Hydropower Company is an exception. Its share price rose about 10 percent. On Monday, the NEPSE index dropped by 45.25 points to 2,782.68 points.

The share turnover was also lower than on Sunday. Shares worth Rs 13.90 billion have been traded today. On Sunday, a new record was set at Rs 17 billion.
