Share turnover fell below Rs 1 billion, NEPSE increased by 5 points



Kathmandu, Aug 28: On Monday, the amount of NEPSE trading has shrunk to less than Rs. one billion. A total of Rs. 98.86 million worth of business was done throughout the day.

The NEPSE index for today stood at 1998.48 points increased by 5.09 points as compared to previous trading.

The previous day, there was a transaction worth Rs. 1.26 billion. While the price of 118 companies increased, 97 companies decreased and 12 remained stable.

Banking 6, development bank 26, finance 2, hotel and tourism 45, life insurance 24, non-life insurance 14 and business subgroup increased 18 points. Other 4, manufacturing 2 and hydropower sub-group decreased 1 point each.

The price of Kurtheli Hydropower increased by 10 percent. The price of Lakshmi Sunrise increased by 4.7%, City Hotel by 4.4%, Nyagdi Power by 4.2% and Machhapuchhre Bank by 3.3%. Lakshmi Sunrise Bank, Solti Hotel, IME Life Insurance, Ghorahi Cement and Shivam Cement were ahead in terms of turnover.
