Taplejung, Jan 4: The Pathibhara area, home to the renowned religious shrine of Pathibhara Devi, witnessed snowfall for the second time this year.
The area had earlier experienced its first snowfall of the season on November 22, 2025 (Mangsir 6). According to the Pathibhara Area Development Committee, temperatures have dropped significantly following the latest snowfall.
Situated at an altitude of 3,794 metres above sea level, the Pathibhara region traditionally begins receiving snowfall from Mangsir in previous years. Committee staff member Rajendra Mahat said the snowfall occurred on Saturday evening.
Despite the snowfall, facilities have been put in place to ensure smooth movement of pilgrims. The Pathibhara Area Development Committee stated that fibre trusses have been installed along the pedestrian route, making it easier for pilgrims to reach Pathibhara Devi even during rainfall and snowfall. #snowfall #pathivara
