Sunar enters his name in Guinness Book 20th time



Kathmandu, Dec 22: National and international Parkour and Gymnastics player Dinesh Sunar has succeeded in writing his name in the Guinness Book of World Records for the 20th time.

“The Must Blind Folded Backyard Somersault in 30 Seconds” genre which is under Parker and gymnastics, has added a new record by closing eyes 14 times and blindfolding backwards without raising hands.

There was a criterion of at least 10 times in this genre.

Dinesh sent the record claim to the Guinness Book by presenting a record in front of more than 300 audiences from different countries during the Akron International Dance Festival program in Akron City, Ohio State, America on December 7, 2024.

The headquarters of the Guinness Book of World Records have given the recognition of the record today (20 December 2025). Along with this, Dinesh has been able to write his name in the Guinness Book of World Records for the 20th time, it is said.

The festival program had a dance performance that reflected the culture and identity of Mexico, Germany, India, Africa, Poland, Ireland, Bhutan, Congo, Italy, Nepal, Burma, Thailand, and America.

Evaluating Judges: Persons representing Ohio State were Ms. Christine Wiedie Higham Council Member District 6, Mr. Jeff Wilhite Council Member District 4 and martial arts instructors Hark Tirwa and Kaushila Khanal were also in the role of judges. Similarly, there were martial arts player Nilam Khanal and City of Akron ward to councilman: Phil Lombardo.

Upon this latest achievement, Sunar “It’s been 12 since I started trying this record continued and succeeded today”.

He wants to be a shining example by inspiring new generations in the Parker game and raising the name of the country to the world through sports. #guinness #nepal #Sunar
