Supreme Court Bar nominate senior advocates Ghimire and KC for Amicus Curiae



KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court Bar Association has decided to send senior advocates Komal Prakash Ghimire and Prakash Bahadur KC as a Amicus Curiae requested by the Constitutional Bench of the Supreme Court on the issue of dissolution of the House of Representatives.

A meeting of the Supreme Court Bar Association on Tuesday unanimously selected senior advocates Ghimire and KC for the Amicus Curiae.

Anantraj Luintel, a member of the Supreme Court Bar Association, informed that the meeting of the working committee of the Supreme Court Bar Association unanimously has decided to nominate Ghimire and KC for Amicus Curiae.

The Constitutional Court, which is hearing the case of dissolution of the House of Representatives, had ordered to send two each senior advocates from the Supreme Court Bar Association and Nepal Bar Association.

The Nepal Bar Association has yet to finalize the name of the senior advocate for the Amicus Curiae.
