Kathmandu, Nov 23: Nabil Bank Limited (NABIL), a leading private sector bank of Nepal, has proposed an 11% cash dividend for the fiscal year 2079/80 BS.
The 644th meeting of the board of directors held on Mangsir 07, 2080 decided to distribute the dividend on the paid-up capital of Rs. 27.05 Arba. 11% cash dividend (including tax) has been proposed, which was beyond the expection of the investors.
However, the dismal performance was expected as Nepali investment environment was in stress for months.
The dividend will be distributed only after approval by the Nepal Rastra Bank and endorsement by the company’s upcoming AGM. As of writing, NABIL has an LTP of Rs. 561. This is one of the lowest dividend the bank has ever announced to their shareholders.
