Swiss govt. hand over 144,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines



KATHMANDU: The Government of Switzerland has provided 144,000 doses of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine to Nepal.

The vaccine was handed over to Health Secretary Dr Roshan Pokhrel by Swiss Ambassador to Nepal Elizabeth Von Kepler at a function organized at the Ministry of Health and Population today.

Health Secretary Dr Pokharel shared that the vaccine provided by the Swiss government will be administered to the target groups. He said that the vaccine will be made available to all Nepalis by mid-April.

Swiss Ambassador Kepler said Switzerland was helping Nepal in the prevention and control of the corona virus. The vaccine to Nepal from Switzerland was received under the Covax facility.
