Nepali-origin candidates elected in US mid-term elections

Washington DC: Two candidates of Nepali origin have been elected in the US mid-term elections. Dr Harry Bhandari has been elected again as Maryland State Legislator for the Maryland General Assembly on behalf of the Democrat Party. He has become the first elected MLA with a total of 13,949 votes.
